1. Foremost, check for an inactive bank account with online banking:
Run QuickBooks and choose Company.
Click Charts of Accounts and select the Include Inactive checkbox.
Search for an active bank account showing lightning bolt, which means the account is set up for online banking.
Now, disable online banking for an inactive account:
Right-click the inactive bank account and choose Edit Account.
Select the Bank Feed Settings tab, mark the Deactivate All Online Services option.

Open the company file and ensure the lightning bolt is off.
