I am Getting “QuickBooks Already has a Company File Open” while Opening the Company File in QuickBooks. Can Someone Help me Resolve it?
If your QuickBooks is displaying a “QuickBooks Already has a Company File Open” error message for no reason. First, check there isn’t any company file already opened in your QuickBooks Desktop. Now follow the solutions below if you are getting the error for no reason
1. First, run QuickBooks as an administrator, which you can do by selecting the Run as Administrator option after right-clicking the QuickBooks Desktop icon.
2. Try to open the company file again after running QuickBooks as an administrator to see if the error is resolved. If not, proceed further with the troubleshooting.
3. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys together, and this will take you to the Windows Process window in the Task Manager.
4.Locate and right-click any process related to QuickBooks Desktop and select End Process.
5. After closing the Task manager, retry to access the company file and check if the error is resolved.
